‘Tis the season for book awards: today the Queensland Premier’s LIterary Awards shortlists were announced at the State Library of Queensland.

We are delighted with the news that two books published by Text will be considered for prizes:

The Lieutenant by Kate Grenville for the Fiction Book Award, and

The Beginner’s Guide to Living by Lia HIlls for the Young Adult Book Award.

Congratulations to Kate and Lia. The winners will be announced on 8 September in Brisbane.
