David Grossman to be awarded for diplomatic efforts

Text congratulates Israeli author David Grossman, who is to be awarded the 25,000-euro German Book Trade Peace Prize for his efforts at Israeli and Palestinian reconciliation.

Grossman is the author of the much-praised Lion’s Honey, based on the story of the biblical strongman Samson, and has contributed to two other Text titles: Revelations and the Paris Review Interviews volume four.

The award will be presented to Grossman at the end of the Frankfurt Book Fair in October.
