RECENT RIGHTS ACQUISITIONS

Next year we are proud to be reissuing Robin Boyd’s influential The Australian Ugliness in time for its 50th anniversary.

We’ve bought world rights in a very moving work of non-fiction by Adrian Hyland—author of Diamond Dove and the forthcoming Gunshot Road (June 2010)—called Kinglake 350 about the tragic 2009 Victorian bushfires.

We’ve also bought world rights to Kate Holden’s follow-up to her phenomenally successful, In My Skin. Her new book is currently called The Romantic and we expect to publish late in 2010.

Angela Savage’s first book, Behind the Night Bazaar, was a success here and in Germany. We’ve now acquired world rights to the follow-up, Down by Pattaya Bay.

We have acquired ANZ rights to British author Matt Haig’s new book, The Radleys about a family of vegetarian vampires.
