The Crime Writers Association has announced the shortlist for this year’s Ned Kelly Awards for crime writing. We are very pleased to announce that Sucked In, Shane Maloney’s sixth Murray Whelan novel, has made the cut.
Entries have now closed for the inaugural Text Publishing Young Adult Prize.
Thank you to the many, many authors who submitted their manuscripts. We are very excited by the response we have had, and the judges will soon begin their assessments.
Colin Cotterill’s unique and charming crime novel set in Laos, The Coroner’s Lunch, is shortlisted for this year’s ‘Gold Dagger’. With prize money of 20,000, the Duncan Lawrie Dagger (to use its proper name) is the world’s most prestigious and lucrative crime writing prize.
In June we were absolutely rapt to learn that Richard & Judy had selected two Text novels as Great Summer Reads, on their top-rating daytime television program in the UK.
