Golden is a CBCA Book of the Year Awards Honour Book!

Congratulations to Jade Timms! Golden has been recognised as an Honour Book for Older Readers in the 2026 CBCA Books of the Year Awards.

The 2026 CBCA Book of the Year Awards were announced on Friday 21 August, and everyone at Text is thrilled that Jade Timms' warm-hearted YA novel Golden is an Honour Book!

The CBCA Judges only had good things to say:

'Golden offers a fresh contribution to contemporary YA by portraying grief as ongoing, ordinary and unresolved, rather than dramatic or redemptive. A powerful and deeply human read.'

Congratulations again to Jade Timms! You can view the full awards listings on the CBCA website.
