Mary Norris at Adelaide Writers’ Week

Join self-confessed comma queen Mary Norris as she attends the Adelaide Writers' Week for a conversation about the perils of punctuation.

Norris began working at the New Yorker in 1978, and has spent over three decades guarding their grand traditions of grammar usage. Her favourite pencil used to be the Dixon Ticonderoga No. 1, but she now makes do with the Palomino Blackwing.

Her first book, Between You & Me, features hilarious and insightful meditations on emoticons and exclamation marks, splice commas and swear words.
