Peter Singer visits the University of Western Australia

Peter Singer, often described as the world’s most influential living philosopher, presents a challenging new movement in the search for an ethical life, one that has emerged from his own work on some of the world’s most pressing problems. 

His challenging new book,  The Most Good You Can Dohas the power to change the way people think about how they live. Peter Singer presents a challenging new movement called ‘Effective Altruism’ in the search for an ethical life.

In this special Perth event, Professor Singer will give a talk at UWA's Octagon Theatre, which will be followed by a Q&A with Professor Carmen Lawrence, Director of the UWA Centre for the Study of Social Change. 

This event is co-sponsored by the Institute of Advanced Studies, The UWA Centre for the Study of Social Change, and Live on Stage Australia. 

A percentage of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Oxfam Australia, The Fred Hollows Foundation and The Life You Can Save.
