Eltham bookshop, Montsalvat & Text Publishing present a very special celebration of the republication of All the Green Year by Don Charlwood.

All the Green Year, first published in 1965, became a bestseller and was a set text for secondary schools for many years. In the early 1970s it was made into a popular ABCTV series. Don Charlwood wrote many other acclaimed books and was made a Member of the Order of Australia for his services to literature in 1992.

All the Green Year has now been republished as part of the Text Classics series, a bold venture from Text Publishing to ressurect many of our loved, but lost, Australian books.

Don Charlwood died in June this year but not before writing a revised afterword to his beautiful and moving story of a boy’s journey towards adulthood. This new edition features an introduction by Michael McGirr who will pay tribute to the late author.
